- The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), a Central Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, is organising the Urban Climate Film Festival under the CITIIS program.
- The festival aims to create wider awareness of the impact of climate change on life in cities and engage the public in the dialogue on sustainable urban development.
- The French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Union provided support for the festival, which has received films from over 20 countries.
- A jury shortlisted 27 films, and 11 were selected for showcasing in the festival.
- The selected films will be screened in five cities, allowing a wider audience to engage with the message of the festival.
- The festival will not only raise awareness about climate change and sustainable urban development but also inspire people to take action.
