New Chief Director General of Press Information Bureau

• Senior IIS officer Rajesh Malhotra took over as Principal Director General of PIB.

• On 1 March, senior Indian Information Service officer Rajesh Malhotra assumed the charge of the Principal Director General of the Press Information Bureau.

• Mr Malhotra succeeds Satyendra Prakash, who retired on February 28.

• Mr Malhotra, a 1989 batch officer, was earlier serving in the Ministry of Finance.

• He has over 32 years of experience in planning and implementing media and communication arrangements for various Ministries and Departments of the Central Government.
