- The festival is a part of CSIR-IIIM's 'One Week One Lab Campaign'.
- Bhaderwah is considered the birthplace of India's Purple Revolution.
- The land and climatic conditions of the Bhaderwah region are ideal for lavender cultivation.
- The purple or lavender revolution was launched in 2016 by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Aroma Mission.
