Successful training launch of Agni-1 ballistic missile

  • The Strategic Forces Command conducted a successful training launch of Agni-1 on 01 Jun 2023 from APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha.
  • In October 2022, India successfully test-fired 'Agni Prime'- the new generation ballistic missiles.
  • In December 2022, India successfully test-fired the nuclear-capable ballistic missile Agni-V, which can hit targets up to 5,000 km away.
  • Agni 1 to 4 missiles have a range of 700 km to 3,500 km. They have been deployed.
  • Agni-1 is a medium-range ballistic missile. It is a single-stage missile.
