- 34th International Biology Olympiad, held in UAE from 3-11 July 2023.
- India topped the medal tally in the 34th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2023 with four gold.
- This is the first time that India has topped the medal tally in IBO.
- Dhruv Advani, Ishan Pednekar, Megh Chhabra and Rohit Panda won gold medals at IBO 2023.
- Prof. Madan M. Chaturvedi (Former Senior Professor, University of Delhi) and Dr. Anupama Ronad accompanied the team.
- 293 students from 76 countries participated in IBO 2023. Singapore was the only country to win four gold medals.
- A total of 29 gold medals were awarded in the 34th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2023.
