New Executive Director of RBI

• Reserve Bank of India appointed P Vasudevan as the new Executive Director.

• He will look after three departments including currency management.

• His appointment has become effective from July 3.

• Prior to this appointment, he was the Chief General Manager in charge of the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems.

• He has previously worked in banks and non-banking financial companies, payment and settlement systems.
