- On September 4, Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced the setting up of a 'State Selection Commission' within the next two months.
- To ensure fairness in the selection criteria of candidates, it will be established at Hamirpur in place of the now disbanded Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission.
- 6,000 teachers will soon be recruited under the 'State Selection Commission' and the state government will conduct exams to recruit more than 10,000 teachers this year.
- The Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission was dissolved in February 2023, two months after the paper leak was revealed on December 23, 2022.
- The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister also launched the Chief Minister Sports Capabilities, Rebuilding Aspirations and Livelihoods Scheme (SABAL) from his home assembly constituency Nadaun.
