India's first UPI-ATM launched


  • Hitachi Payment Services in association with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) launched India's first UPI-ATM.
  • It has been named Hitachi Money Spot UPI ATM.
  • ATM will facilitate cardless cash withdrawal without physical card.
  • A UPI-ATM allows users to withdraw cash from multiple accounts using the United Payments Interface (UPI) app.
  • Hitachi Payment Services is the only white label ATM operator to provide cash deposit facility, with ATMs at 3000 locations.
  • Hitachi has over 65,500 ATMs (including 27,500 cash recycling machines) and 9,500 WLAs under its management.
