Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award

• Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award will be given to 12 scientists for the year 2022.

• On 11 September, India's top annual science award, the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, was announced after a gap of two years.

• The awards were announced by Dr N Kalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR, and will be given in seven categories.

• The award is named after Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar, the first director of CSIR.
