New head coach of India women's cricket team

  • Amol Muzumdar has been selected as the head coach of the India women's cricket team.
  • The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced his appointment.
  • He has been appointed after Ramesh Powar. Ramesh Powar was removed from the post of coach in December 2022. Since then this post is vacant.
  • Hrishikesh Kanitkar was given the responsibility of the post on an interim basis.
  • Muzumdar scored over 11,000 first-class runs in 171 matches, including 30 centuries.
