• Rajkummar Rao has been recognized as a National Icon by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

• This step has been taken to make voters, especially the youth, aware.

• Actor Rajkummar Rao and ECI exchanged an MoU at Rang Bhawan, New Delhi.

• The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar and other ECI officials.

• CEC Rajiv Kumar said that the Election Commission will launch a special drive from October 27, 2023 to update the details in the voter list.

• This campaign will be run in the entire country except five election states Rajasthan, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.
