- "Vajra Prahar 2023" exercise between joint special forces of India and US began.
- The 14th edition of “Vajra Prahar 2023” began at Joint Training Node, Umroi, Meghalaya.
- It will be organized from 21 November to 11 December 2023.
- Personnel of the 1st Special Forces Group (SFG) of the US Special Forces and Special Forces personnel of India's Eastern Command are participating in this exercise.
- Exercise Vajra Prahar aims to share best practices and experiences in areas such as joint mission planning and operational strategy.
- The first edition of this exercise was conducted in 2010 and the 13th edition was held at Special Forces Training School (SFTS), Bakloh (HP).
- The armies of both the countries will participate in a series of special operations, counter-terrorism operations, and air operations in conventional and unconventional scenarios in the mountainous terrain.
- 'Secret departure of troops from a specific distance to a safe place without fighting', 'Entry of troops from water area', 'Precise infiltration and attack on targets at long range', etc. will be the highlights of the exercise.
