Indira Gandhi Peace Prize

  • On November 19, the Indira Gandhi Award for Peace, Disarmament and Development 2022 was jointly awarded to the Indian Medical Association and the Indian Trained Nurses Association as representatives of the COVID-19 warriors in the country.
  • The award was presented by former Vice President Hamid Ansari to Dr. Sharad Kumar Agarwal, President of the Indian Medical Association and Professor (Dr.) Roy K., President of the Indian Trained Nurses Association. Awarded to George.
  • The award was given to every doctor, nurse, paramedic and staff for their selfless service, unwavering dedication and perseverance in the face of adversity.
  • Named after one of the most remarkable leaders of the twentieth century, the award aims to honor women, men and institutions who have done exemplary work in the service of humanity.
  • This award is given annually by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust to individuals or organizations.
