- The 11th edition of India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces ‘Exercise Khanjar’ began at Special Forces Training School, Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh.
- The exercise is scheduled from 22 January to 3 February 2024. It is an annual exercise conducted alternately in both the countries.
- The Indian Army contingent is being represented by soldiers of the Parachute Regiment (Special Forces), while the Kyrgyzstan contingent is being represented by the Scorpion Brigade.
- The exercise aims to exchange experiences and best practices in counter-terrorism and special forces operations.
