- 19 countries including India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are participating in the multinational military exercise 'Peace Prayas IV' that started in Nepal.

- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" inaugurated the two-week long military exercise.
- The multinational military exercise is taking place at the Birendra Peace Operation Training Center in Kabre district.
- 1,125 military personnel from 19 countries are participating in this exercise.
- The exercise is being conducted with the assistance of the Global Peace Operation Initiative of the US Government.
- The first 3-multi-platoon training program 'Peace Prayas' was hosted by Nepal in 2000.
