New President of Indian Paralympic Committee

• Devendra Jhajharia has been elected President of the Indian Paralympic Committee.

• The Sports Ministry of India has recently lifted the suspension of the Indian Paralympic Committee.

• The ministry had suspended the committee after it failed to conduct the elections on time.

• Deepa Malik was the previous chairperson of the committee. Malik took charge in 2020.

• The first Para Shooting World Cup in India is being held in New Delhi from March 9 to 15.
