27th National Federation Senior Athletics Competition

• On May 15, Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in men's javelin throw at the 27th National Federation Senior Athletics Competition in Bhubaneswar.

• Neeraj struggled in the early stages of the competition as he finished second after three rounds.

• He took the lead in the fourth round with an effort of 82.27 metres.

• Last time, Neeraj Chopra competed in the same event at the domestic competition in 2021, when he won the gold medal with a throw of 87.80m.
