- Reporters Without Borders (RSF, short for Reporters Sans Frontieres in French), an international non-profit organization, has released the latest annual World Press Freedom Index.
- India is ranked 159th in the list of 180 countries, while in the 2023 list it was ranked 161st.
- However, Pakistan is ranked 152nd, seven places above India, which was ranked 150th in 2023.
- Norway, Denmark and Sweden are ranked first, second and third respectively in the World Press Freedom Index.
