New head coach of Indian men's football team

  • The appointment of Spaniard Manolo Marquez as the head coach of the Indian men's football team was announced by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on 20 July.
  • Currently, Marquez is the head coach of Indian Super League (ISL) team FC Goa.
  • During the 2024-25 season, Mr. Marquez will continue in his role as the first-team head coach at FC Goa, and will handle both responsibilities simultaneously before assuming the national coaching role on a full-time basis.
  • Marquez has been coaching in India since 2020.
