New Director General of NSG

• Indian Police Service (IPS) officer B Srinivasan has become the new Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG).

• B Srinivasan has been appointed after Nalin Prabhat was deputed as Special Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir.

• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Srinivasan as the Director General of NSG till August 31, 2027.
