New Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Railway Board

• Satish Kumar has been appointed as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board.

• He has become the first Dalit Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board.

• He is an officer of the Indian Railway Management Service. He is currently serving as Member (Traction and Rolling Stock).

• He will replace Jaya Verma Sinha. His tenure will begin from September 1.
