New Managing Director of State Bank of India(SBI)

• FSIB has recommended the appointment of Ram Mohan Rao Amara as Managing Director (MD) of State Bank of India (SBI).

• The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) interviewed nine applicants for the post of MD in SBI.

• SBI has four managing directors. One MD post fell vacant after Dinesh Khara's term ended last week and CS Setty took over as Chairman.

• Amara is currently working as Deputy Managing Director in SBI.
