New governors appointed in five states

• New governors appointed in 5 states by President Draupadi Murmu.

• Former Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has been appointed as the Governor of Manipur.

• The appointment was part of the latest governor reshuffle done in five states by President Draupadi Murmu on December 24.

• Mizoram Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati will now be the new Governor of Odisha.

• The development comes after the resignation of current Odisha Governor Raghubar Das.

• Former Union Minister General Vijay Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Governor of Mizoram.

• Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been appointed as the Governor of Kerala.

• He will replace Arif Mohammad Khan, who has been appointed as the Governor of Bihar.
