New Director General of CRPF

• Gyanendra Pratap Singh has been appointed as the Director General of CRPF.

• Gyanendra Pratap Singh is a 1991 batch Indian Police Service officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre.

• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment.

• He will continue to be the Director General of CRPF till his retirement date on November 30, 2027.

• He has served in Assam Police as well as central police organisations including SPG and NIA.
