DRDO successfully tests Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS)

• DRDO successfully conducted three consecutive flight tests of Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS).

• These tests were conducted against high-speed targets flying at very low altitude from Chandipur off the coast of Odisha.

• During the tests, the missiles intercepted the targets and destroyed them completely.

• VSHORADS is a fourth generation technologically advanced Small Man Portable Air Defence System (MANPAD).
