- Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla will be the pilot of the upcoming Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
- On January 30, 2025, NASA and its international partners announced that they have approved the crew for the mission.
- Group Captain Shukla will become the first Indian astronaut to visit the ISS and the first Indian to go to space in the last 40 years.
- He is also one of the four astronauts-designated for India's Gaganyaan mission.
