- The Forward Faster Sustainability Award 2025 is an initiative organised by the United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) to honour Indian organisations for their outstanding contribution towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- At a ceremony held in Chennai on 13 February 2025, NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power company was conferred the award in the Water Resilience category.
- The honour was given for the company’s outstanding efforts in water conservation and sustainable water management initiatives.
- NTPC has committed to improving water use through ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ principles.
- The company has set new benchmarks in water conservation with advanced wastewater treatment plants and 100% self-sufficiency of freshwater.
