- On April 3-4, PM Narendra Modi will visit Thailand to attend the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit.
- The 6th BIMSTEC Summit will be held on April 4 in Bangkok, Thailand on the theme “Prosperous, Resilient and Open BIMSTEC”.
- On April 3, PM Modi is scheduled to meet Thai Prime Minister Patongtarn Shinawatra for bilateral discussions during his visit.
- India and Thailand’s bilateral cooperation and future partnerships will be the main focus of discussions between the two leaders.
- In recent years, Thailand has significantly increased its investments in India, with a focus on key sectors such as infrastructure, real estate, agro-processing, electronics, automotive, food processing, hospitality and renewable energy.
