World Day Against Child Labour 2025

• World Day Against Child Labour is observed every year on 12 June.

• It is observed to raise awareness and mobilize efforts to eliminate child labour in all its forms.

• The theme of World Day Against Child Labour 2025 is "Progress is evident, but there is more work to do: let's accelerate efforts!"

• Around 160 million children worldwide are engaged in child labour, which is equivalent to 1 in 10 children.

• From 2000 to 2020, child labour has decreased by 85.5 million, from 16% to 9.6%.

• Only 26.4% of children worldwide receive social security cash benefits.
