Laxmi Jadala Qualifies for the 2027 Special Olympics World Games

Lakshmi Jadala, Asia's top para-tennis player, won a gold medal at the National Tennis Championship held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
The 15-year-old Lakshmi, who has an intellectual disability, achieved this feat in the Under-17 junior category.

Host City: The 2027 Special Olympics World Games will be held in Santiago, Chile. This will be the first time the Special Olympics World Games are hosted in the Southern Hemisphere.
Dates: The games are scheduled to take place from October 19 to 31, 2027.
Participation: More than 6,000 Special Olympics athletes from over 170 countries are expected to participate.
Sports: Competitions will be held in approximately 22 Olympic-type sports.
