PM Narendra Modi awarded Namibia's highest civilian honour

  • The award is called the Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis.
  • It was given in recognition of his role in strengthening India-Namibia relations.
  • This is the 27th international honour received by Prime Minister Modi.
  • This is also the fourth award given during his ongoing five-nation tour.
  • The award was presented by Namibia's President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
  • Prime Minister Modi is the first Indian leader to receive this Namibian honour.
