Auntha-Simaria Project

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Auntha-Simaria project in Gaya, Bihar on August 22, 2025.

• The project includes a new bridge about two kilometers long over the Ganga river.

• The bridge will establish direct connectivity between Mokama and Begusarai in Patna district.

• It has been constructed next to the existing Rajendra Setu.

• Rajendra Setu is an old two-lane bridge suitable for both rail and road traffic.

• This new bridge will reduce the travel distance of heavy vehicles by 100 kilometers.

• It will improve traffic flow between north and south Bihar.
