Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghurtia

• Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghurtia, AVSM, VSM assumed charge as Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance at Indian Air Force Headquarters.

• After assuming charge, the Air Marshal paid floral tributes at the National War Memorial in honour of Armed Forces personnel who have made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.

• He was commissioned in the Aeronautical Engineering Department of the Indian Air Force in September 1988.

• The Air Marshal is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Air Force Test Pilot School, Bengaluru and Air Force Technical College, Bengaluru.

• He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, London, Aeronautical Society of India and Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

• He is a Principal Auditor of ISO 45,000 (OH&SMS) and Associate Member of Society of Flight Test Engineers, USA.

• During his 37-year career, he has held several important Command and Staff appointments in the Indian Air Force and in UN Missions abroad.
