Sign Language Day – 2025

• The Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) organized “Sign Language Day – 2025” on September 23, 2025.

• The event was held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre for Sign Languages, New Delhi.

• The United Nations General Assembly declared September 23 as International Sign Language Day to raise awareness about the rights of the deaf community.

• This year's theme is "No Human Rights Without Sign Language Rights."

• It highlights the importance of sign language in ensuring equality, inclusion, and respect for deaf persons.
