DRDO has successfully completed the first test of the Pinaka long-range guided rocket (LRGR-120).

• DRDO conducted the first test of the Pinaka extended-range guided rocket (LRGR-120) at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha.

• During the test, the rocket was fired to its maximum range of 120 kilometers.

• The rocket successfully completed all the planned maneuvers during its flight.

• The Armament Research and Development Establishment designed this rocket in collaboration with the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory.

• It was also designed with the collaboration of the Defence Research and Development Laboratory and the Building Research Centre.

• The Integrated Test Range and the Test and Evaluation Establishment coordinated the flight test of the rocket.
