India-UAE joint military exercise Desert Cyclone-II

• On December 18, the joint military exercise Desert Cyclone-II between India and the UAE commenced in Abu Dhabi.

• The exercise will run from December 18 to 30.

• 45 Indian Army personnel had arrived prior to the start of the exercise.

• The Indian contingent primarily comprises a battalion of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment.

• The UAE Land Forces are represented by the 53rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, with a roughly equal number of personnel.

• The aim of this exercise is to enhance interoperability and operational synergy between the two armies.
