- On November 29, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the production version of the indigenous Hansa-3NG training aircraft at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) in Bengaluru.
- During his visit, the Minister reviewed the progress of the development of the 19-seat Saras Mk-2 aircraft.
- New aerospace facilities were inaugurated at CSIR-NAL with the aim of boosting India's civil and defense aviation ecosystem.
- Designed as India's first fully composite two-seat training aircraft, the Hansa-3NG is designed to meet the growing demand for pilot training.
- It is estimated that India will need approximately 30,000 pilots over the next two decades.
- Industry partner Pioneer Clean Amps is setting up a manufacturing facility at a cost of ₹150 crore in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, with a capacity to produce up to 100 aircraft annually.
