• The two-time Olympic medalist and former world champion PV Sindhu has been elected as the Chairperson of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Athletes' Commission for the 2026–2029 term.

• This appointment is considered a significant step in her leadership journey in global sports governance.

• As the Chairperson of the Athletes' Commission, PV Sindhu will also be a member of the BWF Council.

• This will ensure that the voice of badminton players is directly represented in the sport's highest global decision-making process.
