Scientific Assistant/B (Civil)
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks from MHRD, Govt. of India recognized institution
- Diploma should be of 3 years duration after SSC/HSC OR 2 years through lateral entry after HSC approved by AICTE
- English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examination
- Candidates with Diploma through lateral entry after 10th (SSC) + ITI are not eligible
Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Engineering Diploma Holders
- Mechanical: Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Instrumentation: Diploma in Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control with minimum 60% marks
- Electrical: Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks
- Electronics: Diploma in Electronics/Digital Electronics/Electronics & Tele-communication/Electronics & Computer/Industrial Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum 60% marks

Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN) – Maintainer (Fitter, Turner, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Electronic Mechanic, Mason)
- SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science subject(s) and Mathematics individually
- 2 years ITI certificate in relevant trade (Electronic Mechanic/Machinist/Fitter/Turner/Instrument Mechanic/Mason)
- For trades where ITI course duration is less than 2 years, minimum 1 year relevant working experience required after course completion
- English as one of the subjects at SSC level
- One year apprenticeship training after 1 year ITI course shall be considered as one year experience
- Period of internship will not be counted as experience
Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN) – Plant Operator
- HSC (10+2) or ISC in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate

For Scientific Assistant/B (Civil) and Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA)
