Mirabai Chanu

• Olympic silver medallist Mirabai Chanu set new national records in snatch, clean and jerk, and total weight.

• Chanu broke three national records in the women's 48 kg category at the 2026 National Weightlifting Championships by lifting a total of 205 kg.

• This performance earned her the gold medal. Radha Soni and Komal Kohar won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

• She started her campaign by lifting 89 kg in the snatch. She then lifted 116 kg in the clean and jerk.

• Her total weight was 6 kg more than her previous personal best.

• Previously, she had set a record of 199 kg at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships held in Forde.
