- The objective of this initiative is to enable the testing, evaluation, and certification of full-body scanners and related screening equipment used at airports.
- Through this partnership, a formal institutional framework has been established for collaboration in research, certification, training, and standards development.
- A dedicated testing center will be set up at the RRU to conduct testing and evaluation in accordance with regulatory directives.
- Equipment supplied by manufacturers will undergo independent evaluation and certification to ensure compliance with the requisite standards.
- Emphasis has been placed on the development of an indigenous certification system aligned with global practices, such as those of the TSA and ECAC.
