- This procurement aligns with the objectives of the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India' initiatives.
- Under this contract, two advanced mountain radar systems will be provided to the Indian Air Force.
- These radars have been designed and developed by the Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), a laboratory under the DRDO.
- These radar systems will be manufactured domestically by Bharat Electronics Limited.
