  • According to the report, India's overall gender parity score in 2026 stood at 64.5 percent, whereas the global average is 69.2 percent.
  • This means India still lags behind the global average in terms of gender equality. Among the various sectors, education was India's best-performing area, where the country achieved a parity score of 96.6 percent.
  • Overall, the report indicates limited improvement in India's gender equality status, but a gap remains in reaching the global average.
