- With the objective of bringing water management and artificial intelligence together on a shared platform for the first time in India, the "National AI Summit on Water 2026" will be organized in Bengaluru on May 27, 2026.
- This national-level event will be hosted by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). The summit is being organized through the joint collaboration of BWSSB and Elets Technomedia Pvt. Ltd.
- To this end, both organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 20, 2026.
- This conference is regarded as a significant step toward the integration of water management, urban services, and digital technologies. The event will feature deliberations on key topics such as AI-based smart operations, digital twin technology, water loss control, energy efficiency, data governance, ethical AI, and cybersecurity.
- According to experts, AI-based solutions can provide effective remedies for future challenges related to water crises, resource management, and urban water supply.
- The objective of the summit is to foster innovation and sustainable development within the water sector through the application of modern technologies.
