- Pakistan has announced the issuance of a special commemorative coin with a face value of 75 rupees to mark the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations with China.
- According to the State Bank of Pakistan, this coin will be made available to the public starting May 25, 2026.
- It will be issued through various offices of the SBP Banking Services Corporation.
- Formal diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China were established on May 21, 1951. Since then, cooperation between the two nations has consistently expanded across the fields of trade, defense, infrastructure, and diplomacy.
- The partnership between the two countries is regarded as a significant strategic relationship at the regional level.
- The commemorative coin will be circular in shape and crafted from a copper-nickel alloy, comprising 75 percent copper and 25 percent nickel.
- It features a diameter of 36 millimeters and weighs 19 grams. The national flags of both countries are inscribed on the reverse side of the coin. Additionally, the phrases "75TH ANNIVERSARY OF PAKISTAN AND CHINA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS" and "TRUST FRIENDSHIP SUPPORT" are inscribed in English, Urdu, and Chinese, symbolizing the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
