Exercise Pitch Black 2026

• Exercise Pitch Black 2026 will be held in Australia's Northern Territory from July 20 to August 7, 2026.

• It is a major biennial multinational air combat exercise organized by the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

• Air forces from several nations, including the Indian Air Force, will participate in the exercise. It is considered the RAAF's largest international military exercise.

• The primary objective of the exercise is to strengthen strategic cooperation, interoperability, and joint combat skills among the participating air forces.

• Realistic combat scenarios are created during the exercise, providing pilots and military personnel with training in complex air operations and modern warfare strategies.

• More than 100 military aircraft and thousands of air force personnel are expected to participate in Pitch Black 2026.

• Air forces from a total of 19 friendly and partner nations will take part in this edition, making it one of the world's most significant and extensive multinational air exercises.
