  • This ranking utilizes parameters such as academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.
  • The 2027 edition featured 52 Indian universities. India ranked fifth globally in terms of the number of institutions on the list; the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and Germany ranked ahead of India.
  • The number of Indian institutions in the QS rankings rose from 11 in 2015 to 52 in 2027.
