Bilateral Military Exercise Tiger Lightning 2026

• Bangladesh and the United States (USA) have commenced the joint military exercise 'Tiger Lightning 2026' on July 19, 2026.

• This annual bilateral exercise is being conducted with the aim of further strengthening cooperation, strategic coordination, and joint operational capabilities between the armed forces of both nations.

• The 13-day exercise will continue until July 31, 2026, with the participation of over 160 military personnel from both countries.

• During this exercise, specialized training is being imparted on critical areas such as jungle warfare, counter-terrorism operations, and combat medical support.

• The objective of these exercises is to enhance the preparedness of troops for challenging situations, improve mutual coordination, and develop the capability to effectively tackle modern security challenges.
