  • Competing in Glasgow, the 23-year-old athlete from Chhattisgarh recorded a personal best by lifting a total of 199 kg, comprising 88 kg in the snatch and 111 kg in the clean and jerk.
  • Throughout the competition, Gyaneshwari displayed excellent technique and confidence.
  • Thanks to her performance, she briefly held the Commonwealth Games records in both the snatch and clean and jerk categories.
  • However, in the final attempts, Nigeria's Onome Olomola Didih won the gold medal with a total lift of 206 kg.
  • Meanwhile, Canada's Rebecca Groulx secured the bronze medal with a total lift of 178 kg.
