NFR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released the Centralized Notification No. NFR/NAPS/ACT APP./2026 for the engagement of 6,777 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the training cycles 2025-26 and 2026-27. Eligible candidates who have passed Matriculation (10th) and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade can apply online through the official NFR website from 20 July 2026 to 19 August 2026.
The apprenticeship opportunities are available across various NFR divisions and workshops located in Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar. Selection will be based purely on a merit list, without any written examination.

Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess:
For Most Trades
- Passed Matriculation (10th) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Medical Laboratory Technician Trades
- 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry & Biology
- Minimum 50% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12.
Note: Minimum 50% marks in Matriculation are not applicable for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
